The Story of Backstage.Network: Connection and Inspiration
In 2017, Backstage.Network was born out of an ambition: to connect young people seeking direction and job seekers with those who wish to guide and inspire them in their professional journey: inspirators, actors in professional integration, and companies.
Two years later, we launched our first project, NicetoNEETyou. This program aimed to help NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people find their way and marked the beginning of our commitment to closely support job seekers in their professional journey.
Today, we are proud to be a recognized socio-professional integration operator by Actiris, Forem, and the ESF. We offer various activities such as coaching young people who have dropped out, mentoring, facilitating support communities, and networking. Connection remains at the heart of our approach: we daily connect people in educational or professional transition with role models and inspiring companies.
We have also realized our initial idea and created Belgium’s first employment-focused social network. This platform, which we carefully manage, has become a meeting place where members can support each other, share advice, discover opportunities, and interact with professionals. It reflects our mission to support and inspire those looking to advance in their career.
The story of our non-profit organization is one of ambition turned reality. We are proud of the journey we have made and continue to work to connect and inspire those seeking their path.
Our Vision
Backstage.Network aims to enable every Brussels resident in educational or professional transition to find inspiration to define and pursue their project. We envision a society where people in transition are fully supported and connected with meaningful opportunities.
We believe in the power of collaboration and mutual support. Our vision is to create a dynamic and inclusive network where job seekers, companies, and inspirators (professionals from all sectors passionate about their work) come together to build enriching career paths. By fostering these connections, we aim to contribute to fulfilling careers for everyone.
